This tour is special for people like to enjoy of nature located right in the heart of the province of Guanacaste, the Corobici and Tenorio River offers some and moderated waves, this is a wide and fast-flowing class I and II river. This experience is great for all ages, safe enough for children and gentle enough for the elderly to enjoy, just as for nature lovers and bird watchers who will enjoy the lush vegetation of the tropical dry forest. You will have the chance to observe lots of animals: howler and white-faced monkeys; coatis, iguanas, and otters; you may also sight some of the 300 species of birds that inhabit the nearby Palo Verde National Park: wood stork, kingfishers, roseate spoonbill, boat-billed heron, bare-throated tiger heron, white ibis and many, many more, all can be spotted in the trees along the riverbanks of the Corobici and Tenorio River. Our journey begins in the gardens of the Corobici River, where our headquarters are located, and the trip lasts for about 2 hours on the river and includes: paddles, lifejackets, safety kayak if only one raft traveling, bottled water during the tour. Our experienced guides will better let you enjoy of this awesome adventure, pointing for you the tropical flora along the river that will be the perfect background for this unforgettable and unique tour. You will also have the possibility to do some paddle, or if you prefer so, let the guide take you down the river while you relax and enjoy the emerald forest and exotic fauna. Season: All year.
We also offer a delicious Costa Rican lunch after food we going to visit a place called Finca Verde it is a small scale family run eco-tourism project set on an organic farm, located in the northern rainforests of Costa Rica. Over the past 20 years, we have converted our land into an eco-paradise, producing ornamental and medicinal plants organically, as well as vegetables, fruits, and herbs among other produce. The farm also has a butterfly garden and laboratory, we reproduce rare butterflies and frogs and release them back into their natural habitats.
Our aim is to create a sustainable and viable approach to organic farming, which safeguards and promotes nature in its natural and most healthy form. We promote zero chemical use as a needed alternative and seek to continually develop our land and project responsibly. Through our work, we have created a haven for birds and animals including hummingbirds & toucans, sloths, frogs, lizards, butterflies, and snakes. In short, we have a beautiful thriving tropical farm and nature resort nestled into the valley of two volcanoes in the rain forest.
In our agroecological farm we understand the dynamics of our local environment, produce some of our food and other products we need by maximizing the use of available natural resources. Our farm is not just a chemical-free viable alternative for the future but a necessary one for our community.
We depart at 7:30 a.m and return to the hotel 5:30 p.m , we travel in small groups of maximum 8 people because service is more personalized. Packages available for groups of over 20 people.
